Victoria Nole was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa

Victoria Nole of Utica was inducted into Mohawk Valley Community College's Lambda Beta Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society recently during a ceremony held in the Schafer Theater on the Utica Campus. Phi Theta Kappa is the International Honor Society for two-year colleges and the largest honor society in American higher education.

MVCC has inducted more than 10,000 students into the honor society since its founding in 1960. Nole is pursuing a degee in Business Management.

On hand to celebrate the accomplishments of these students were College President Randall J. VanWagoner, Ph.D., Maryrose Eannace, vice president of Academic Affairs, and keynote speaker Lewis Kahler, dean of the Center for Arts and Humanities.

Welcoming the new inductees were Amy LaLone, Chapter President; Andrew Edwards, Chapter Vice President of Fellowship; Ann Marie Mesick, Chapter Vice President of Scholarship; and Jennifer Rothrock, Chapter Vice President of Service.

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is offered to students who have a 3.5 GPA or higher with at least 12 credit hours in a degree program.
